How LCG Quotes Fortinet Firewalls in Texas

A next-generation firewall quote goes wrong when the email says "Fortinet" and nothing else, or when the reseller implies a partner level it does not hold. This page is the working description of how Liberty ChainGuard Consulting LLC quotes Fortinet firewalls and related products for Texas buyers. The short channel record is the Fortinet Engage Partner page. Read both before you send a site list.

What the partner line means

Engage Partner is Fortinet's commercial partner program. Advocate is the level on LCG's record. Integrator is the track. Partner ID FT-1674010is the number to repeat on a vendor-approval form if the buyer asks for it. The quote we return is one we can place through our D&H Distributing account. D&H is the distributor relationship. It is not a second Fortinet badge.

That is the whole published status. We do not describe LCG as a Fortinet Federal Partner, an expert-tier partner, a managed-security provider, or an authorized support center. If a purchase requires one of those programs, or a contract vehicle this commercial path does not cover, the answer goes out before a configuration does. Training tiers and deal-registration rights change inside vendor programs. We will quote what the current Engage record and the D&H account can support on the day you ask.

What to send the quote desk

Firewall sizing is a conversation, and it starts with facts a non-engineer can collect. You do not need a finished bill of materials. You do need enough that two quotes would describe the same site.

  • How many sites, and whether each site is a single appliance or a high-availability pair.
  • Rough user count, or the WAN circuit size if that is the number you have.
  • Whether this replaces a named model or is a new install.
  • Remote access: needed, already handled somewhere else, or unknown.
  • Whether logging should stay on the appliance or you already run a management server.
  • The subscription term you want priced, such as one year or three, if you know it.
  • Ship-to city, and whether the buy is commercial or has to ride a named public contract.
  • Anything that is mandatory: a specific model family, a board standard, or "Fortinet is only a wish."

Switching and other Fortinet products on the same commercial path can ride along when they belong to the same site. Say so in the same email. If you are also open to a different brand, say that too. Vendor-neutral comparisons are a separate product, described in the vendor-neutral procurement guide. We will not quietly swap brands on a Fortinet-only request.

What you get back

A usable reply has the configuration in writing: appliance, power and rack notes if they matter, the security subscription that was priced, quantity, unit price, lead time, and the sentence that says the order would be placed through D&H. If a line is an estimate because the site survey is unfinished, the line is labeled as an estimate. If we cannot support a feature you asked for, that feature is listed as excluded rather than folded into a model number.

Lead time is a distributor fact on the day of the quote. We do not promise stock we have not confirmed. Freight, tax, and a public-sector purchasing rule can change the total after the hardware price is known. Those lines stay visible.

For a Texas informal solicitation, this reply can sit beside other quotes in the file described on our Texas IT procurement page and in the CMBL checklist. The same specification should go to every vendor. A Fortinet quote that was written against a richer spec than the other two is not a fair comparison, even when the price looks lower.

Public-sector buyers, same commercial path

Cities, schools, and small businesses in the Coastal Bend and elsewhere in Texas can ask for this quote. SDVOSB status, UEI RP1XYZMDYGC7, and CAGE 13ZA3can go on the cover sheet when the packet asks for them. They do not change the Fortinet program. If your board requires a cooperative contract, a DIR item, or a full CMBL solicitation over the informal threshold, put that constraint in the request. We will tell you whether the Engage-plus-D&H path can be used. Guessing that a commercial partner ID satisfies a federal vehicle is how purchases get rejected.

Liberty ChainGuard was established in 2025. We are building past performance. This page does not name installed customers, seat counts, or "trusted by" logos. A buyer who needs incumbency references should treat that requirement as unmet until there is a delivered job to cite. You can still ask for a price.

What we will decline

  • A request to be listed as a Fortinet Federal Partner, or to use a badge from a higher Engage tier.
  • A design that assumes we operate a security operations center.
  • A quote for a contract vehicle we cannot place through the D&H account, presented as if we can.
  • A configuration copied from another customer. There is no customer library to copy.
  • Renewal pricing for a serial number and account we cannot see. Send the support contract details you have, and we will say whether we can price the renewal.

Declining is part of the service. The sourcing channels page is the place to see the other brands and distributors, including where a relationship is only a portal enrollment or still being evaluated.

Questions we hear

Is Liberty ChainGuard a Fortinet Federal Partner?
No. The published relationship is Fortinet Engage Partner, Advocate level, Integrator track, partner ID FT-1674010. Commercial quotes are placed through the D&H Distributing account. Federal Partner is a different program, and LCG does not claim it.
Can you quote a firewall if my entity requires a specific cooperative contract?
Sometimes. Tell us the vehicle name in the first email. If the commercial Engage path and the D&H account cannot be used on that vehicle, we say so before we build a configuration.
Do you list cities where these firewalls are installed?
No. LCG was established in 2025 and is building past performance. We do not publish customer names or installation counts we have not delivered.
